Possibly one of the best and cheapest high quality donuts around it really takes "simple is better" for a reason their bread too is always fresh and ready to go. Unfortunately tho the bakery needs help if you for whatever reason want to have a job as a baker or anything else there pls apply. This place needs to stay alive pls give them spare cash, Quarter, dime, penny just give them it.
We know the bread is good but giving it 4 stars because we showed up at 11:30 am Saturday and they're closed. Hours state 10-2 everywhere online. Big let down.
So I was in Saginaw on business and one of our parting gifts from the company hosting us (Fullerton Tool) was a loaf of Spatz's famous white bread. While I thought this an odd gift, when I got home and made a grilled cheese with this sublimely soft yet firm bread my mind was blown. The taste and texture are unmatched and it crusts up so well when grilled in a pan with butter. I did not see the bakery or go in but you can bet if I ever go back to Michigan this little bakery will be on my list.

Seriously, no bread can compare. Spatz = Saginaw. Best toasted or grilled. Freezes well. You have to try it if you haven't!
